SYMBOLS:

Serva Jugum - "Remember the Yoke" - This recalls the story of how a countryman and his two sons defended the Scots against Danish invaders with nothing but an ox yoke while plowing a field.

Falcon - As a reward, the King of Perth granted to the countryman the land over which the king's falcon flew.  The land was later known as Erroll.

Ox Yokes - The only weapons the countryman and his sons used to repel the Danes.

Three Bloodstained Shields - These represent the father and his two sons.

Two Peasants - These represent the two sons.
