• Managed computer expenditures for computer labs and academic computing.  Came in under budget all three years.
   

• Directed successful redesigns and launches of various corporate intranet web sites to improve accessibility.  Resulted in increased effectiveness in communication for the local diversity council, human resources, recognition team, and the local council for employees with disabilities.
   

• Transformed a group of “rogue users” into a group for computer “power users” with a civil service agency.  Turned around the focus of the group from pulling away from established computer standards to contributing to the best practices of the location.  
   

• Led a team of students on a learning excursion to India and Bangladesh for university credit.  Expanded students’ cultural and linguistic horizons to prepare for future opportunities in international careers.
   

• Established a written strategy for aggressively addressing the computer deficiencies of a private university.  Resulted in computer lab upgrades, computer purchases for faculty, and a computer-equipped classroom.
   

• Created 100-page systems analysis describing the computer system for a not-for-profit child sponsorship organization in India to track child sponsorship activities.  Resulted in developing major improvement of the existing operation.
   

• Organized a developing local area network for a civil service agency to allow employees to e-mail one another across disparate platforms more easily.  Saved time and effort by implementing new standards to communicate with large numbers of employees.
   

• Supported a joint effort with management and quality assurance unit to streamline operations, saving the business tens of thousands of dollars.
   

• Developed, enhanced, and taught a series of computer instruction courses for employees of a cartographic organization.  Contributed to the ability of the organization to communicate electronically and to convert to digital mapping systems.
   

• Recommended needed computer equipment and prepared budget estimates for a civil service agency.  Installed equipment resulting in decreased downtime for payroll and other applications.
   

• Interviewed directors of various departments of an overseas benevolence organization to determine how the computer department could better service agency needs.  Resulted in computer server upgrades, improved operations, and a new computer department head.
   

• Simplified old FORTRAN code for a civil service agency to prepare for code maintenance cycles.  Created more structured and better-documented code to allow the agency to manage future code changes more easily.
